Fort Gibson sits about 20 road miles west of our shop, straight out US-62, and it is in Muskogee County rather than Cherokee County. That is a county line, not a border. Tell Dustin what the water is doing and you get a flat price before anybody picks up a tool.

A plumber who drives west for Fort Gibson
Our shop is at 309 E South St in Tahlequah and Cherokee County is our home ground, but the US-62 run into Fort Gibson is a half-hour of good highway, so we work it. Our license is a state license. Working an address in Muskogee County is the same job for us as working one on the east side of Tahlequah.
You get what everybody else gets. We quote the job before we start, and the number we say is the number you pay, even if the work runs long or hits a surprise. No hourly meter. Estimates over the phone or from a photo you text are free; if Dustin has to come out and look before he can price it, that visit carries a trip charge and you hear the amount before he leaves. Oklahoma plumbing license OK203156.
Calls are answered 7 AM to 5 PM and we are not a 24-hour company. If water is running where it should not be, shut the main off at the meter first, then call. If you smell gas, get everyone out of the building and call 911 or your gas supplier from outside.
Fort Gibson is on town water. The Town of Fort Gibson runs its own water and sanitation department, and its annual report names one source: the Grand River, treated as surface water. Surface water is disinfected before it reaches your tap, and the complaints that follow a treated surface supply are taste and smell complaints rather than scale and staining. Those are carbon-filter problems, at the kitchen sink or for the whole house, and they are worth testing before anybody sells you a tank.
The housing here is middle-aged. There are about 1,769 housing units in town with a median year built of 1986, so a great many homes are now at the age where the first generation of supply stops, hose bibs, shutoff valves and water heaters have all quietly expired at once. About 453 of the 1,566 occupied homes are rented, which means a fair share of these calls come from an owner or a manager who needs a known price and a clean invoice. We work that way, and we will take several small repairs in one visit rather than three.
The ground matters too. The town spreads over 14 square miles between the Grand and Arkansas river bottoms, so some addresses are flat bottom ground with shallow buried lines and damp crawl spaces, and some sit up out of it. Bottom ground is where a freeze finds a shallow water line and where a sewer line settles out of fall. When a drain backs up here, the question is whether the problem is in the house, in the line to the street, or at the town main — and that question gets answered before anybody starts digging.

Straight about our hours
We are not a 24-hour company
We work 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and turn up when we say. If something goes wrong after hours, do this first:
Water where it shouldn't be
Shut off the main valve. Once the water is off, it can wait for a proper repair.
You smell gas
Leave the house. From outside, call 911 and your gas company.
Sewage coming up a drain
Stop running water: no flushing, no laundry. Then call us.

You are in Tahlequah. Do you really drive to Fort Gibson?
Yes. It is about 20 miles and half an hour west on US-62, and we treat it as a normal run rather than a favor. Give Dustin a street and a landmark and he will find it.
Fort Gibson is in Muskogee County. Does that change anything for you?
No. Our plumbing license is issued by the state, not by a county, so an address in Muskogee County is the same work for us as one in Cherokee County. The permit and inspection side is set by whoever has jurisdiction at the address, and we sort that out before we start.
What does it cost to get you out to Fort Gibson?
The estimate is free if we can do it on the phone or from a photo you text. If Dustin has to drive over and look at it before he can price it, there is a trip charge for that visit and he tells you the amount before he sets off. Once you approve the job it is one flat price, and it does not change if the work runs long.
Our water line is leaking in the yard. Is that the town's problem or ours?
As a rule the utility owns the main and the meter and you own the line from the meter into the house, so a wet patch between the meter and the building is usually yours. Call the town's water and sanitation department on 918-478-3551 if you are not sure which side it is on, then call us once you know it is yours.
