Plumber in Peggs, OK

Peggs is up Highway 82 northwest of town, about 14 miles from the shop. Almost four homes in ten here run on propane, which makes gas work as ordinary a call in Peggs as a leaking faucet.

A Peggs plumber, not a call center

Peggs is far enough out that some companies quietly stop answering. We answer. Dustin takes the call himself between 7 AM and 5 PM, gives you a day, and quotes the job before he starts. The number he says is the number you pay, even if the job runs long or hits a surprise.

Gas is half our name and it is licensed work. Oklahoma plumbing license OK203156. If you smell gas right now, stop reading: get everyone out of the house, do not flip switches, and call 911 or your propane supplier from outside. Call us afterward for the repair and the pressure test.

We are not a 24-hour company and we will not claim to be. What we will do is tell you the truth about when we can be there, and show up then.

Straight about our hours

We are not a 24-hour company

We work 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and turn up when we say. If something goes wrong after hours, do this first:

  • Water where it shouldn't be

Shut off the main valve. Once the water is off, it can wait for a proper repair.

  • You smell gas

Leave the house. From outside, call 911 and your gas company.

  • Sewage coming up a drain

Stop running water: no flushing, no laundry. Then call us.

Do you work on propane systems, not just natural gas?

Yes. Most of Peggs is on propane, so most of the gas work we do out here is propane piping: new runs to a heater, range, water heater or generator, repairs to old black pipe, and a pressure test at the end. The tank and its first regulator belong to your propane supplier; everything downstream of that is our side.

My propane heater burns with a lazy yellow flame. Is that dangerous?

Treat it as a reason to call somebody today. A yellow, lazy flame, soot on the burner, or a smell when it runs can mean wrong gas pressure, a wrong orifice for propane, or a venting problem, and bad combustion makes carbon monoxide. If you feel unwell or the smell is strong, shut the tank valve if you safely can, get out, and call 911 or your propane supplier first.

How much do you charge to come this far out?

Phone estimates are free, and so is a look at a photo you text. If Dustin has to drive out to price it, that visit carries a trip charge and you know the number first. Once the job is approved it is one flat price with no hourly meter, and what changes it is the job itself — how the line is run, what has to come apart to reach it.

Can you fix the water at my place in Peggs?

We treat what a test says is in it: iron staining, sulfur smell, sediment, hardness. The equipment goes in inside the house, and we do not sell a big tank to everybody. If the trouble is the pump, the pressure tank or the well itself rather than the water, we will say so and point you to a licensed pump installer rather than guessing on your dime.
